You all know how much I hate math. I’m not a stupid person, I got A’s in school, etc. I just hate math. In school I always had to write it down. It does not compute in my brain lmao.
I cannot just sit at the table and figure pot odds. I need a pencil and a piece of paper, then I can. The thing is.. I may not even do the whole problem on the paper.. I may just jot down numbers and then I would be able to see it… if I figure 37-9 odds It isn’t going to pop into my head that it is 4:1 odds. Is there hope for me?

If figuring Pot Odds is such an important part of the game (page 13, 14, and 22) How do I master this without timing out and looking stupid?

Is there a chart I can memorize?

That is something I’m good at.
Hmmm I know you can write stuff out in a notebook after the hands are over, etc. but I’m wondering if you co uld in fact bring our your notebook during a hand and compute your pot odds??
If that’s acceptable at a table…I suggest you do that Bow.
Here are a few to memorize though:
These all apply AFTER you see the flop…..
Flush draw (you have 9 outs): 4 to 1
Open ended straight draw (you have 8 outs:) almost 5 to 1
Gut shot straight draw (you have 4 outs:) 11 to 1
So, memorize those ones that way if you know you’re getting more than the odds on your money, you’ll know it’s the right move. When I first started playing (which wasn’t that long ago lol) I had those 3 odds written down and I’d recite them to myself on the way to A.C.
