Besides the fact that WOE’s are there to introduce women to the game…..they are also social events. Many women still play the WOE’s not just because they are new to the game…..because some aren’t……they play them because they enjoy the company and comradory of other women poker players.

It’s like a social club that plays poker. Lets face it, while yes women are on equal footing with men playing the game of poker…..they aren’t on the same level socially. Women share things in common that men will never understand, and thats comforting. Some other women poker players don’t see a need for WOE’s but I wonder, have they ever played in one with any of us ?

Cause I can guarantee if they did. They’d never stop playing WOE’s. Let’s face it, most of us don’t play them to “make a living.” We play them because we love each other and want to see each other and support each other.
I also enjoy introducing new women to the game. It’s always a pleasure to meet a “newbie” and give them tips or words of encouragement. I remember two years ago when I was scared sh itless to walk into a casino alone….who did I bring….another woman…..so I wouldn’t be alone.

I met other women that made me feel comfortable in the casino and from there on. I was a poker junky.
I can play in both mixed and WOE’s. But I prefer the WOE’s cause I always know I’ll have a friend in the room.
